Greetings Sequoia Seniors,
Identical to past years, we have chosen to go with a lottery system for parking to ensure a fair and equitable chance for all students who would like to drive to school. There are 120 available parking spaces in the James Street Student Parking Area, and roughly 450 Seniors and an equal number of Juniors, so 900 potential drivers. Obviously, demand greatly surpasses supply. Seniors will have the first chance at the lottery. If there are spots remaining after the first, or Senior round of the lottery, a separate form will be sent to Juniors and the same process will follow. In order to qualify for a space, all available fields and document requirements must be met, e.g., images of Driver's License, Current Registration of the car that will be used, and Proof of Insurance that indicates that the student/car to be driven is insured. Photos of these documents will work, but they must be uploaded to the form. All questions on the form must be completed. Form submissions that are missing documents, or contain unanswered questions will not qualify for the lottery. The lottery will remain open until Tuesday, 8/22, at 12 noon. As noted, an identical form will be sent to Juniors after the Senior round.

Saludos Seniors de Sequoia,
Idéntico a años anteriores, hemos elegido continuar con un sistema de lotería para la compra de los permisos de estacionamiento para garantizar una oportunidad justa y equitativa para todos los estudiantes que deseen conducir a la escuela. Hay 120 espacios disponibles de estacionamiento para los estudiantes en el estacionamiento de la calle James, y tenemos aproximadamente 450 Seniors y la misma cantidad de Juniors, es decir que tenemos 900 estudiantes conductores potenciales. Obviamente, la demanda supera con creces a la oferta. Los Seniors tendrán la primera oportunidad en la lotería. Si quedan espacios de estacionamiento después de la primera ronda de lotería, o de la ronda de Seniors, se enviará un formulario por separado a los Juniors y se seguirá el mismo proceso.
