When Do I Pay My IB Exam Fees?
You will receive an estimated fee letter in June prior to the school year based on the courses you registered for with your counselor in the Spring of the previous school year. Then after the student completes the official IB registration with the IB Coordinator, the IB Office will mail home the official fee letter. All payments are due to Ms. Gordon, Sequoia Treasurer, no later than November 15th. You only pay exam costs during the testing year (eg: You would not pay an exam fee during IB English Year 1 because there is no spring exam at that point; but you would pay it senior year during IB English Year 2 as there is a spring exam at that point).
How Do I Pay My IB Exam Fees?
Sequoia High School covers the annual IB fee, IB internal assessment fees, and exam postage costs. You are responsible for the subject fee of $135 per exam. Payment is due November 15th.
In late October you will receive a mailing that includes three items:
- Your student’s “Sequoia High School IB Diploma Exam Registration” with payment Instructions in English and Spanish. Please ask your student to review this document to ensure that the exam(s) s/he selected are correct.
If you are interested in financial assistance for your student’s IB Exam fees, please visit Ms. Macias in the Family Center (Room 129) to apply for Sequoia's Free and Reduced Price Lunch Program. You can also email or call her: emacias@seq.org / (650) 367-9780 ext. 63110. If after applying for the FRPL program, you discover that you do not qualify for FRPL but still need financial assistance, please visit the IB Office (Room 130) to apply for an IB Scholarship. We will not let money stand in the way of your child successfully taking an IB Exam.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Thank you!
